Hi ya'll! The grapes that are going to be the 2018 wine vintages are ALMOST ready for harvest! Some of the grapes that are about to be harvested are: Golden Muscat, Escuela Muscat, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Traminette! It is so cool to watch the grapes progress from the size of a stray green pencil dot to a full fledged purple, red, or yellow grape! But, as the brix (sugar level) increases, so does the risk of bird and ant attacks! To stay natural, we use ant traps with a natural attractant, sap with sugar in it, I think, and a bird call that sounds like different bird breeds cawing in distress. These methods reduce the risk greatly! Currently, as they ripen, we need to protect them, like installing the bird call, putting nets on the vines to protect them, and downsizing on the stems. Thanks for reading!

Hi! I'm Saige, and I enjoy Marvel and DC movies, family comedy and action movies, books, and I love writing! and my father Giuseppe is an award-winning winemaker. He grows our grapes, as well as purchases them from other local vineyards. Although I'm not old enough to drink, I enjoy assisting my dad with his wine, from planting the vine, to bottling the wine! I will hopefully be able to share with y'all our day-to-day story. Thank you so much! Archives
